Service overview
Power of attorney and affidavit requests for Sudanese and non-Sudanese applicants.
Required documents
- Personal attendance, or a statutory declaration signed before a legal authority if attendance is not possible.
- Valid Sudanese passport or national ID copy for Sudanese applicants.
- Valid passport copy for non-Sudanese applicants.
- Required form or supporting details for the power of attorney or affidavit.
- Prepaid return envelope with full address.
Additional requirements
- Sudanese applicants: copy of a valid Sudanese passport or national ID.
- Non-Sudanese applicants: copy of a valid passport.
- If you cannot attend in person: a Commonwealth statutory declaration signed before an authorised witness (https://www.ag.gov.au/legal-system/publications/commonwealth-statutory-declaration-form).
Fees
- Power of Attorney (Tawkeel) and Affidavit
- Sudanese: $150 AUD. Non-Sudanese: $200 AUD.

Proof of payment: Email the payment receipt to cs@sudanembassy.com.au, or include a copy with your application.

How to apply
Personal attendance: Required in some casesAttend in person, or send a statutory declaration signed before a legal authority by post if attendance is not possible.
- Prepare all required documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected, so send everything together at once.
- Pay the fee and keep the payment receipt.
- Submit in person after booking an appointment by email or phone, or send all documents together by post to the Embassy address.

Document collection / return
- Collect your documents in person from the Embassy, or
- Include a prepaid return envelope with your full address and the Embassy will post your documents back. A tracked envelope is recommended.
