Service overview
Visa applications for travel to Sudan. Requirements differ for Sudanese and non-Sudanese applicants.
Required documents
- Completed visa application form, signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Original passport valid for more than six months.
- Receipt or proof of fee payment.
Additional requirements
- Sudanese applicants: copy of the Sudanese national number document or Sudanese passport.
- Non-Sudanese applicants: please attach an entry permission issued by the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration in Sudan, according to current procedures.
- Sponsor in Sudan (must be Sudanese): name, address and contact details, invitation letter, and copy of the sponsor's Sudanese national ID or passport.
- For Sudanese-origin foreign passport holders: proof of Sudanese nationality (Sudanese passport or nationality certificate).
- For tourists without Sudanese background: signed letter from a travel agent in Sudan showing accommodation reservation details.
- For business visa: letter from the sponsoring company (purpose, duration of stay, financial responsibility, contacts) and Ministry of Interior entry approval.

- Australia Post Money Order made out to the Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan (postal fees are paid by the applicant).

Proof of payment: Email the payment receipt to cs@sudanembassy.com.au, or include a copy with your application.

How to apply
Personal attendance: Not requiredApply in person by appointment or by post.
- Prepare all required documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected, so send everything together at once.
- Pay the fee and keep the payment receipt.
- Submit in person after booking an appointment by email or phone, or send all documents together by post to the Embassy address.
- Applicants must apply on their own behalf. No third party may apply for an applicant.

Document collection / return
- Collect your documents in person from the Embassy, or
- Include a prepaid return envelope with your full address and the Embassy will post your documents back. A tracked envelope is recommended.
Important notes
- Visa validity is two months from issue, and the stay period is two months from entry.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Processing time: Up to 10 working days when documents are complete
